BE THE CHANGE. 

There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic waste estimated to be in our oceans. 15% lands on our beaches. In the past 10 years, we've made more plastic than the entire last century. Marine wildlife such as seabirds, whales, fish and turtles mistake plastic waste for prey; most then die of starvation as their stomachs become filled with plastic. The damage isn't just affecting animals. Humans and the tourism industry are also being impacted (especially in Florida).

It's heartbreaking to know that people have caused such harm to a planet which abundantly gives and provides us with everything we need.

We don't have all the answers, but we're committing to finding them. Acaity is determined to set an example for how brands can be better stewards of the Earth.

We do this through using only biodegradable packaging, planting compost gardens using leftover banana peels, using our brand as a voice for change, implementing eco-friendly workplace behaviors, and using 100% recyclable products since our founding. ​

We know this isn't enough to turn the tide. That's why we stand as a movement to be the change. At Acaity, we're determined to go beyond just a business, and transform into a community.

 

Each year, we host annual beach cleanups to not only pick up trash, but also raise awareness as to how people can fight back against pollution.

We also believe awareness and education are key steps in reducing ocean pollution. By shopping wisely, reducing waste, fishing responsibly, and inspiring others to be good stewards of the Earth, we hope to truly be the change we wish to see in the world. ​
